If you like deep, deep pressure and that feeling of “it hurts so good”, you’re not alone. But, it might not be the best thing for you or your massage therapist.
The thing about Deep Tissue Massage, is that it can easily turn into muscle mashing that damages your tissue, makes you unnecessarily sore the next day, and is most likely wrecking the massage therapist who uses their thumbs and elbows to generate the deep pressure.
The truth is, it takes an advanced skill set to make lasting changes in the body without causing pain, damaging tight tissue or causing excess strain on the massage therapist.
My way of working in the body is to blend Deep Tissue Massage techniques with Myofascial Release techniques and create a unique bodywork experience that will alleviate your pain, go deep without causing harm and have you moving better than you have in a long time, with less or no pain.
